Admission Eligibility
Grade 9: Open to students who have successfully completed Grade 8 and have passed the Regional Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination.
Grade 11 (Natural/Social Science): Open to students who have completed Grade 10 and meet the national placement criteria for their chosen stream.
Transfers: Students transferring from other recognized secondary schools must provide an official leaving certificate and student record (transcript).
Required Documentation
Please ensure you have the following documents ready for registration:
Original Grade 8 or Grade 10 Certificate (and one photocopy).
Student Record/Transcript from the previous school.
Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs.
Completed Registration Form (available at the Registrar’s Office).
Parent/Guardian Identification: A copy of the Kebele ID or Passport of the legal guardian.

Important Note for Parents
Tagel Secondary School is committed to “Education for All.” We encourage parents to actively participate in the registration process. Please note that due to current classroom construction projects, we have a specific capacity limit for each grade level. Early registration is highly recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I change my stream after registration? Changes from Natural to Social Science (or vice versa) are only permitted within the first two weeks of the semester, subject to academic performance and seat availability.
Is there an entrance exam? Placement is generally based on national and regional exam results. However, transfer students may be interviewed by the department head.
